The Wine Library launches Bluefin & Burgundy
with Sydney’s OG sushi master

Woollahra’s long-standing local favourite, The Wine Library has enlisted the talents and culinary innovation of Sydney’s original sushi master Toshi Oe for a specially curated ‘Bluefin & Burgundy’ culinary experience.

With a prestigious career spanning 30 years, Toshi Oe’s (Toko, Masuya) expertise centres on the excellence of highly sourced fish and delicate presentation inspired by Japanese culture.

To bring his vision to life, Toshi Oe has partnered with respected fish supplier Narito Ishii to source the highest quality Bluefin Tuna and selection of seafood for his eight course Omakase menu.

The ‘Bluefin & Burgundy’ menu is set to include dishes such as oyster moro miso, baby scallop Aomori, Nitenmori sashimi, eel emaki and wagyu beef; with the additional option of extra courses such as caviar bumps or fresh truffle infused Brillat Savarin cheese.

Diners will have the option to personalise their ‘Bluefin & Burgundy’ adventure by choosing between a wine by the glass or bottle pairing from a shortlist of Burgundies, hand selected by The Wine Library sommelier and co-owner Tim Perlstone. Highlights from the shortlisted Burgundies include Ghislaine Barthod, Laurent Roumier, Domaine Lignier, Prieure Roch, Geantet-Pansiot and Pierre Yves Colin Morey.

‘Bluefin & Burgundy’ will take place on Sunday 19th July and Sunday 26th July at The Wine Library.

Wine match:
1st option: Off the beaten Burgundy track wine match $95 pp.
2nd option: Premium king of Burgundy match $190 pp.

Seating times (20 covers per slot): 12pm -2:45pm, 12:15pm – 3pm, 2:45pm to 5.30pm, 3pm -5:30pm
