Rosemary Strachen is a Sydney based contemporary artist whose multidimensional practice encompasses sculpture, installations, painting and graffiti. Her work employs repetition and pattern making.
Strachen's practise explores the connections between things. Deep listening. A need to express the deeper energy and meaning. There is an obligation to share the connection she feels to all people and the environment.
‘I’ve always known who I am. An artist. When I was three I told my mother “ I am an artist.” My head is always overflowing with ideas…the ones that come out are the noisiest, the most persistent."
