Ochota Barrels 'Texture Like Sun Field Red Sector Eight' 2022

It’s probably not the first time something was conceived in a VW camper along the Mexican west coast. In this instance though, it was an idea. At the tail end of a world tour of wine and surf, Taras and Amber Ochota were inspired to return home and make “beautiful, holisitc” wine in South Australia. Based high up in the Basket Range of the Adelaide Hills, Ochota Barrels has become renowned globally for consistently producing some of the best wines of the Australian new wave.

Mainly whole bunch except the Gewurz. Pressed to old french oak while fermentation is finishing, bottled in July. Unfined and unfiltered, wild ferments. Minimal so2.
