Arpepe Valtellina Superiore 'Pettirosso' Chiavannasca 2017

All the Valtellina Superiore, with subzones Sassella, Grumello, and Inferno, come from vineyards sitting between 400 and 600 metres a.s.l. Please note the vineyards for Valtellina Superiore and for the Riserva are the same.

All the 2017s VAltellina Superiore are in a very happy place right now; a warmer vintage that surprisingly in Arpepe wines shows great freshness, elegance, minerality and great tannins.

Pettirosso was born in 1997 by none Arturo idea of blending the Softness of Grumello with the minerality and sharpness of Sassella. 116 days maceration on skins, ageing in 50 Hl botti of chestnut and oak.
