2018 Eastern Peake ‘Intrinsic’ Chardonnay
The Eastern Peake Vineyard was established in 1983 by Dianne Pym & Norman Latta, the first plantings being 8 acres of Pinot Noir followed by 4 acres of Chardonnay in 1991. Mostly everything was sold to the late Trevor Mast (most famous for Mt Langi Ghiran) Norman & Dianne had been growing Pinot Noir for Trevor for almost 10 years when he mentioned that they should start their own winemaking venture. Fastforward to 1999 Norman had a terrible accident sidelining him for 3 months and their son Owen, 15 at the time had to step up to the challenge and run the winery and finish the vintage.
In 2018 Owen was awarded the prestigious Gourmet Traveller Wine - Young Winemaker Of the Year
Their wines are incredibly drinkable and delicious!
