Occhipinti ‘Siccagno’ Nero d’Avola 2019

The nose is a deep, complex and stylish blend of bitter cherries, pomegranate, new leather, dark chocolate, a lovely base of soil, a hint of tree bark, fresh herb tones and a topnote of woodsmoke. On the palate the wine is deep, fullbodied and nicely transparent, with a good core of fruit, modest tannins, a lovely signature of soil, tangy acids (that may one day go a bit volatile, but right now are still very well-integrated into the body of the wine) and fine focus and complexity on the long and classy finish.
